Would a Nile Crocodile make a good guard dog???? ?

I would like to get a 500kg 7 metre long nile crocodile as a kind of guard dog to stop the people stealing my garden plants and ornamental furniture. I woke up this morning to find 8 staddle stones missing from my garden , and last week i had some beautiful Branson garden furniture go missing. So would a nile crocodile stop any would be thief ??? I have a large pond it could live in, and it doesn't come under the dangerous dogs act either.. any suggestions ?
