Ugg boots sizes help me out girls?

i'm planning on getting ugg boots and i wear a size 6 but i want the boots to last in the future. If i dont wanna grow out of the boot what size would you recommend. Also what style do you think is the best cuase i wanna get the short ones but im not sure if thatll keep me warm
